Superiors Classifying Tanks are common for applications that require the removal of lots of water, including dredging. Classifying tanks accept out-of-spec feed, producing a steady in-spec output. The material enters the tank via a sloped feedbox where coarse or large particles first settle, middle of the tank holds medium-sized particles, and fines are found at the end. Slits naturally flow over sides of the tank. With high-pressure valves, the material is then blended back together to desired specs.
