Superiors Belt Covers are manufactured with corrugated construction and rigid protecting material through transport, helping monitor production. The belt covers include full cover styles allowing for 100% belt coverage, ¾ coverage allowing open access on one side of the belt, ½ coverage giving access on both sides of the belt.
Standard belt coverage is manufactured of galvanized steel; however, additional options include lacquered colors, stainless steel, aluminum, fiberglass, and reinforced polyester. They are designed not to be dependent on the current idler frame’s location, making them order ready for any existing conveyor.
The Superior Belt Scale is a dependable system that helps accurately monitor production flow. The Belt Scale’s flush-mount design requires no cutting, making installation easy. The Belt Scale’s integrator has a large color graphic display and an easy to follow scale setup wizard.
The integrator menu has four calibration options, including zero calibration, test weight calibration, material test calibration, and automatic digital calibration. The Superior Belt Scales have calibration weights, battery backup, ethernet port, USB port, speed sensor, and Superior scale quality idlers.
Superior Conveyor Take-Ups accurately maintain belt tension to prevent slippage. Take-ups come in multiple models that cover most conveyor styles and applications, including center pull, telescoping tube, wide slot, top angle, light-duty, and heavy-duty.
All Take-up designs use ACME screws, which have non-binding characteristics, allowing for less seizing and longer life. Each Take-Up model includes screw protection, preserving the mechanism’s heartbeat, and reducing the potential of other damage or premature rust.
Superiors Auto Greaser lubricates chains, shaft seals, and roller & slider bearings. A self-sufficient temperature compensates the electrochemical system increasing plant safety and allows maintenance workers to give their time to other tasks.
The Auto Greaser lengthens the life of the conveyor components by maintaining a regular greasing cycle. A built-in sensor monitors the ambient temperature and calculates the gas production needed. Based on the feedback from this sensor ensures that the discharge is continuously regulated. There is no need for installation or special equipment.; unpack it, set it to the desired discharge period, and screw into the lubrication point.
Superiors Belt Speed Sensor allows for monitoring of conveyor belt speed by producing electronic pulses interpreted by a PLC or Superior speed sensor module. Belt Speed Sensors allow operators to control conveyor shutdowns by monitoring belt slippage and trigger warning systems. The mounting of the sensors can occur on the return roller, the troughing wing roll, or a clean side roll and are available in belt widths from 24” – 72”, and include a two-year component warranty. Belt Speed Sensors are fit for CEMA C and CEMA D Idlers.
The Superiors Impact Cradle design fits into the existing idler mounting footprint and is built to take the hits instead of the conveyor. The gaps in the support leave conveyor belts vulnerable to tears, rips, and other impact-related damage.
Its thick urethane segment absorbs shock and dissipates contact energy allowing for reduced conveyor belt wear and tear. Available at 20° & 35° trough angles for 5, 6or 7 inch diameter roll heights. Impact Beds fit Cema C, D, and E Idlers.
Superiors Impact Bed protects the conveyor belt from the beating of large material lumps. They fit well with high-capacity applications, with sharp damaging material and material falling into the load zone from an extended discharge height. The Impact beds have energy-absorbing impact bars made out of ½ “ UHMW on the top layer and high-impact SBR rubber on the bottom layer. The Engineering team for Superior can calculate the style and size of the impact bed needed when provided specific application data on any operation.
Superiors Sealing System can prevent material spillage in load zones. The regular idler roll can create spacing between a conveyor belt and hopper skirting where the Sealing System’s cartridges close the gap, making it a tight seal. Cartridges are available in 5” and 10” sizes for belt widths between 24” – 72”.
The Sealing system offers an alternative to cartridges and is available in 48” or 60” sizes. Sealing System helps keep the material transfer process running smoothly and saves money by not allowing leakage off the conveyor.
Superior’s Safety Handrails are universal and mount on to all idler frames helping prevent belting entanglement.
Universally mounting to all idler frames, Superior’s patented Safety Handrail helps prevent entanglement in belting. The handrail or conveyor guard rail has a diameter of 1-¼ inches and is available in 8 or 10-foot lengths. Operators receive assembly hardware included with the part when they order.
The Guard Panels manufactured by Superior offer a simple install safety solution. To meet MSHA requirements, Superior Guard Panels can be kept in stock on site. The yellow Guard Panels are of UV resistant material that can easily be cut and trimmed to fit areas needing to be covered. The Guard Panels come in rolls of 100’ X 4’ in ¼ “ mesh, and the bottom Guard Panels come in 50’ X 4’ in ¾ “mesh. The Guard Panels are an easy install do to the self-tapping screws and a washer; shipping comes in an all-in-one package ready to be fitted on machinery.
The Superior Return Roll Guards protect the pinch points of the conveyor. With four different model designs that include steel, Shield ALL, single and dual Return Guards.
